A new study reported in the Journal of Hypertension has found that increasing fiber in the diet can dramatically lower blood pressure. Participants who increased fiber intake to 7.2 to 18.9 grams of fiber per day showed great improvements in their blood pressure. Fruits, vegetables and whole grains are great sources of dietary fiber.
