1. Ovarian Cancer Screening May Not Save Lives

Ovarian cancer screenings, consisting of blood tests and ultrasounds, didn’t save lives for average-risk women, say researchers who note that the screenings may also lead to unnecessary surgery and complications.

2. Gastric Bypass May Lower Alzheimer?s Risk

The results from a small cohort of obese type 2 diabetics who underwent gastric bypass surgery indicates that another benefit in addition to weight loss is a decreased risk in developing Alzheimer?s.

3. Think Yourself Thin, Says Study

Think yourself thin? A new Yale U study says mind over matter can help lower your levels of the hunger hormone, ghrelin, to curb overeating.
